Baseball, Park and the Zoo

I'm wondering how many posts in a row I can go with pictures of the kids at the park. Looks like I am at 3. Tis the season for park adventures I guess. For the record....none of these pictures in the last 3 posts have been from the same park. That has to count for something right?

Oh roller slide.....how the boys have missed you all winter. No need for fancy parks with all the bells and whistles. Just give them a roller slide and they will be entertained for quite awhile.

Baseball...our new favorite thing to play at home.

Keeping his eye on the ball.

Even Declan likes to play.

But not when he gets hit in the head.

Carson's last field trip of the year was today. A trip to the zoo!

I have no idea how we managed to line up 15 4 year olds for this picture.

Carson and his best friend Andrew.

A MUST Read

My dear friend Libby over at Blessings and Glory has a fabulous post today and I think everyone should read it. You can click here to read her very well put, very true words about a crisis in our country that everyone needs to pay attention to.

Homecoming

This weekend we went to celebrate NDSU's homecoming. We enjoyed some tailgating, football, The Turf, seeing old college friends and a night out sans the kids.

Go Bison! Green and Yellow were the colors of the day.

A kiss from grandma to a very tired little boy trying to watch a football game.

Declan was more interested in the free cups then some picture with me. And Carson wanted nothing to do with the picture and chose to hide behind me.

Some of my old college friends. Now we are all moms! Apparently I didn't get the "wear black memo." :-)

Friends

Last night we watched 2 friends of ours. 4 boys under 3.5. People at the park had to think we were nuts with all these kids!

Sam and Carson even learned how to give each other a ride. (Don't mind that mountain of crap in the background...we need to make a serious run to the dump)

We even enjoyed a bomb pop!

I think his lips are STILL red.

Lucas was the popsicle eating champ though. He bit that thing off faster then the older boys.

Here is what happens when the wind blows at our house. This lovely hunk of tree was laying in our driveway when we got home today. I've lived here 6 months and I am already sick of hauling sticks away!

Good thing we have two boys who will help us!

The hair hasn't tamed any since becoming shorter. This was the style after nap the other day. And that stunned look comes from me pulling the plug to get a picture BEFORE he lost his mind.

Fish, Tools and Cabinets

Early this week we visited the Outdoor Campus with our friends. We took a class on Antelope and checked out the big fish tanks they had there. Even the little guys had fun.

Declan decided he liked the tool belt.

And measuring for that matter.

Why, what's this you ask?

Well its drawers of course. AND it's drawers in my kitchen.

Hallelujah!!!

The dragging technique that we wanted wasn't working the way we wanted it to so we went with a different look and just painted a thin stripe around the edge. It looks pretty good. Now if I could get the doors done. Oh and I suppose handles on my drawers would do me some good too.
