It was a good Christmas

We're home! The house is trashed, the bags aren't unpacked, there are toys in every direction, one car is in the shop, one car doesn't have breaks, one kid has bronchitis, one mom needs to go to Target (to get antibiotics for said child) and Sam's but won't have time since one dad needs the rental car box tonight (It's a Chevy Aveo). But enough of that mess I've got pictures and doing this seems more exciting then dealing with the Christmas tornado that has landed in my house.

Christmas was a blast. The boys had a great time and came home with some pretty good loot. Carson was convinced that Santa had also stopped at our house while we were gone, seeing as he made a stop at BOTH grandma's. I don't think we have room for any more toys. A new toy shelf or box is in the works since having them all over the floor doesn't seem like a viable option. Here is our Christmas in pictures. Enjoy!

Grandma Lee had lots of snow (both grandma's did) and so we took advantage and spent alot of time outside. Carson was in seventh heaven.

And so was daddy.

Carson going down Grandma's driveway.

Grandma even convinced Declan to get outside. Which is a major feat in itself.

After some time outside we got ready for church.

All decked out for church.

Carson checked out the tree.

The boys got a plate of cookies ready for Santa. And no we did not give Santa beer (although he may have liked that). Carson insisted that Santa would want a glass of apple juice instead of milk.

We read Twas the Night Before Christmas.

And then before we knew it Christmas morning had arrived, Jesus' Birthday! And the unwrapping began.

We got some new Legos.

We got a new toothbrush (Every boy's dream I'm sure)

We got new light sabers.

Carson got a new guitar.

Carson got Buzz Light Year (and Declan got Woody)

Then it was back outside. Carson was thrilled.

Even Declan came out and from the looks of it he may have had some fun.

Daddy and Carson snowmobiled.

And so did Daddy and Declan.

And look.....so did Mommy and Declan.

Nobody wanted to go inside.

The next day (Friday) it was off to celebrate Christmas with my side of the family.

Declan got his favorite book.

He also got new clothes which he was oddly thrilled about.

We got a new golf set.

The boys got a new camera.

And they have been practicing their photography skills ever since.

We got new remote control cars.

Declan got a new bear that may be bigger then him.

Well at least the head is.

We got a new fishing game.

On Saturday my dad took Trevor and I out for some cross country skiing. Something neither of us had tried. It was fun but alot of work and it was a gorgeous day out.

We were definitely blessed this Christmas.

Now we are ready to be home for awhile. 2 months of traveling non-stop have left us exhausted. Daddy has most of this week off so we will get to enjoy some time together and hopefully tackle a to do list that is a mile long!

Wii'd Out

My entire upper body is sore. It hurts to laugh, cough and pretty much move. My right arm and side happen to be the worst. What may you ask was I doing? I'd love to say I was doing some great physical activity like hiking or swimming or running. But I wasn't.

I'm sore from playing Wii. Yes, you read that right, a video game system has left me pretty useless today. Oh, but it was fun and I'd do it again in a minute.

I'd like to thank Mother Nature for the extent of my injuries since it was raining and snowing all day Saturday. Yes, snowing on May 10th.

Mother's day was great. My present from Trevor and the boys is a trip to Your Secret Kitchen tomorrow night. I can't wait to go and try all the meals. I also got a new dress for our Vegas trip, some clothes and a gift certificate to get my hair cut. Yay!!

Here are some pictures of our weekend at Grandma and Grandpa Cameron's

Trying to teach a 3 yr old how to play Wii.

Checking out the golfers with grandpa.

I thought it was a great idea to try and snap a picture of me and the boys for Mother's Day. We had gone to the golf course for brunch so I thought the settings would be perfect. Even after many attempts of bribery the boys had other ideas then cooperating. So here are some outtakes of our picture attempts.

Declan was far more entertained by the waterfall behind us.

Grandma's attempt wasn't too bad.

Family picture try. Failed.

How about no kids in the picture. That seems to work MUCH better.

We Want Spring!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This morning we woke up to this......

And while its pretty and all, we are so sick of this %#*@!%&^*&^#$% snow it's not even funny. Well, its probably mostly me because my husband is happier then a clam with this crap. And the best part is we are supposed to get ANOTHER 4 to 6 inches tonight. Just bury me and bring me back when its warm.

Carson has been a little stinker lately about looking at the camera. He runs as soon as I pull it out. Or he wants to look at himself on the back of the camera. So, I've been trying to get creative in my picture taking. In the first picture I bribed them both with jelly beans. And as you can see.....it worked. Guess I should stock up on some jelly beans.

If you wrap them up in a towel as tight as possible then they can't escape. No guarantee that they will look at the camera but at least they are both in the picture.

Yesterday before this snow crap arrived we took a walk through the park and over to a bridge that is in our backyard. It was a pretty neat bridge and Carson was enthralled with it. Plus we got to try out our new monster rain boots. As you'll notice I stayed behind to get the pictures so they couldn't see me.

Brace yourself. We actually got some things done around the house this weekend. Check out our progress.
